Day Of Love :) We spent the Valentine's Day on making Valentine cards, heart glasses and we made our own heart shaped crayons.
We learned the letter X and made “x-rays” of our hands using black paper and cotton buds (for the bones). Students got even more creative and traced their feet too.
China Day celebrations! We had an amazing day during this special day at our school! Children showed lots of Courage and Vitality during their performance on the stage! Well done little Chickens!
We need trees! They are so important to us. We can use them in many different ways. One of them is rubber sap that is used later for producing rubber. We tried to make our own"rubber" and feel the mixture of it by mixing corn starch with glue and water!
Letter sound "W" helped us review what we already know about water and how it can be used to meet our needs as well as where we can find it. We also read about wonderful worms, who help enrich the soil so the plants can grow in it. We found we need worms! We worked hard to make our wiggly worms out of pompons.
Look at this beautiful flower! But do you know the main parts of the plant? No? Let's find out what are they! Root-yes, stem-yes, leaf-yes and flower-yes!
Back to school and straight into learning new letter sound "Z". We read a story about "Zack the Lazy Zebra" and made our own zebras!
Collecting natural samples outside in order to look at them closely using our microscopes. They have different shapes and all look pretty amazing.
We learnt about symmetry. We also looked around for things that are symmetrical- man made as well as natural. Painting magic symmetrical pictures was lots of fun too!
Does it sink or float? Some of the results were quite surprising to us :)

Practising Sight Words! It is believed that being able to recognize a large number of sight words gives students a better start to learning to read.
Reading Buddies! It is always great fun to have visitors. This time Grade 2 :) They came with books they wrote all by themselves and they read them to us.

Our job for today? Designing fairy lands out of empty carton boxes, bottles and stick them together with sellotape. Pre-K/K presented lots of compassion working in groups and respecting each other ideas.
Trip to the Polar Ocean
We had lots of fun during our trip to the Polar Ocean World and we also learnt a lot about different sea creatures. The trip was a great success! We wanted to thank our fabulous moms for their help! Thank you Chloe's mom-Kathy, Branko's mom- Monika, Angie's mom-Lizzy and Messi's mom-Megan!

All children took part in a survey asking friends if their name has any "S" or "A" letters. Later everybody shared the results. The winner was letter "A"!!!
